Favorite Carnival Moments

I can't decide which is my favorite carnival moment because I love everything related to the Carnival. I think Carnival is spectacular, full of color, joy and folklore.
Carnival is a cultural event in which all varieties express cultural and folklore of the Caribbean Coast and the most diverse local cultural event, popular music and dance. It is the most representative of the city that attracts everyone.
Carnival is a magic event where I can express myself without any restriction and is a really special moment in which I can do what I like the most enjoy all the beautiful culture of my birthplace.

Tinariwen

 1. What do we learn about Tuareg culture from this video?
What I learn about Tuareg culture from this video is that they are nomadic people, that live in the desert, having a hard life; a conservative life. They live in small tribes with their family members and they are characterized as a simple, patient, organized, and spiritual group of people.

2.Keeping in mind what you learned from this interview, how does seeing the visuals within the video and knowing the meaning of the lyrics give us a deeper understanding of Tuareg culture?

Knowing the meaning of the lyric give us  a deeper understanding of Tuareg culture because the song specifies some  of the pain that that they feel, maybe for some of the social conflicts that they have to pass. We can see this aspect in some parts of the song when they sayed that they have hurt in their hearts and they tried to forgot everything with tea, that tea could be something that reflect some peace or freedom for them.

After reading about Barranquilla being the Cultural Capital of 2013 (http://www.elheraldo.co/tendencias/barranquilla-elegida-capital-de-la-cultura-2013-70019), here are my answers:

1.  Why was Barranquilla chosen?
Barranquilla was chosen by the International Bureau Cultural Capitals as American Capital of Culture 2013, because of the big effort that the local government did to transform Barranquilla into a cultural place, making it look impressive because of the big cohesion around this cultural topic and because of the positivism that took them to a highest place in the international view.

2. Will Barranquilla receive any of the economic benefits Liverpool hoped to from being named a cultural capital?
Hopefully, Barranquilla will receive a lot of economics benefits from being named a cultural capital, because with this recognition the city is going to be promoted to a highest international level with the help of some international channels. Also this prize coincides with the celebration of the 200 years of the city of Barranquilla, so this is a big opportunity to promote Barranquilla to the whole world.
